About the course
Food is more than just sustenance – it’s one way we build community, coming together and sharing parts of ourselves. From ancient times sharing stories over meat on an open fire through to the modern sensibilities of fine dining and small plates, food is how we celebrate, how we mourn, how we socialise, and how we survive.
These two one-off sessions with Leeds Writer In Residence Jem Henderson are about the poetry of food, examining how we can write about food in ways that allow us to explore our histories, our culture and ourselves. You are welcome to come to one or both sessions.
