My creativity began with photography; raw and untutored, it would be many years before I could or would think of  myself to be an artist. Eventually I did go on to study fine art which I enjoyed but I never did make a career as an artist.  I did however gain a greater awareness of the  barriers  (internal and external) that  prevent people  (including myself ) from showing, developing or making  their work . A lot of my work stems from creative material, not deemed or valued as art, such as old family photographs. More recently I have also been using song titles in my work, as listening to music has been such an important factor in shaping how I see the world.   Check out my website here: http://briangibson.yolasite.com/
