Meet Salma Begum, Edward Ball, Janet Farr and Clarissa Angus who individually and collectively bring a wealth of amazing new skills and diverse experiences to the board.
Nicole Finnan, Chair says ‘I am absolutely delighted to welcome Salma, Edward, Janet and Clarissa to the board. Our talented and diverse board fully reflects what we do at Creative Future and stand for as a charity. It will allow us to fully deliver on our mission and grow as an organisation. I am already looking forward to the next meeting. The atmosphere at the last board meeting was electric and inspiring.’
Salma is an Agent at Greyhound Literary and helped set up The Good Literary Agency, a social enterprise focused on launching the careers of underrepresented writers.
Edward is a curator, writer, and Director of Devonshire Collective, a cultural community organisation in Eastbourne, commissioning projects from emerging under-represented artists.
Janet has worked extensively in adult education, founding and leading Community Learning in Partnership (CLIP), Lincolnshire and was the Director of Adult Learning in Portslade.
Clarissa works at the National Archives and has expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion. She has more than 10 years of experience as a creative communications professional.
The new trustees join Nicole Finnan, Jenni Lewin-Turner, and Melanie Lewis, the existing trustees. Creative Future says a big thank you to the outgoing trustees, Carole Ingrey and Yvonne Foster, for all your commitment and support in recent years.
