About the course

The world, and indeed its stories, are experienced by and through our senses. The grains of your goosebumps, the hot spoil of city air, the tock of the clock; how we render these to the page can transform our writing, and the experience of our readers. This six-part series of 2 hour workshops will reimagine the senses as a way to both enhance and frame our writing. Using innovative creative writing exercises and literary inspiration drawn from a variety of writers and poets, we will delve deep to create original and true writing. This course is for those who wish to deepen their writing practice, both beginners and intermediate writers will benefit from the exercises. It draws on poetry and literary fiction, many examples drawn from underrepresented writers.
